Lois Schneider Realtor

Meet Lois Schneider

Lois Schneider, President and CEO

Long before branding became a buzzword, Lois Schneider was building her brand.  She began her own firm in 1976 with a determination to be different, which is, after all, one of the cardinal rules of branding.  This was the era when big mergers and franchising began transforming the real estate industry.  Lois decided on a different approach: one office with just one mission, superb service.

Lois’s instinct proved right.  Lois has stayed true to that mission for over 30 years maintaining an agency rooted in market knowledge and first-class service.  Her unwavering focus on being different and on delivering the best service possible has made her a real estate legend.  Her company reflects her commitment to quality in every aspect beginning with her single office in Summit, NJ.  “Branding grows out of the organization itself, it’s not something you apply with logos and slogans like a coat of paint.  Branding is the expression of the company’s values and mission.  You hear it in the way the phones are answered.  You sense it in the environment of the office and the style of the agents.”

To catch the essence of the Lois Schneider Realtor brand, you don’t have to look much further than the doors of 431 Springfield Avenue.  With professionally designed window displays and an impeccably decorated office space, it’s no wonder Lois goes so far as to personally recruit her top-notch team of sales professionals and support affiliates for their skills, community involvement and ability to work as a team.  Her commitment and dedication have paid off as the full-time sales associates are among the industry’s top producers in the area.

Lois Schneider’s professional achievements and outstanding community service have been recognized by numerous awards.  She was twice named NCJAR’s Realtor of the Year, most recently in 2004.  The Union County Board of Freeholders selected her as one of their “Women of the Year” for her entrepreneurship.  Most recently, Lois received the Who’s Who in Luxury Real Estate Lifetime Achievement Award in 2008.  Of all her honors, she is perhaps most proud of the Congressional Certificate of Appreciation for community betterment for her work with such organizations as The Resource Center for Women and Our House Group Homes for the Developmentally Disabled.  She continues to follow her life-long motto: “It’s nice to be important but it’s more important to be nice.”  In the Summit, NJ area, she truly is The First Name in Fine Properties.”
